From August 3 - 19 (Wednesdays to Sundays only) the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs will present its annual Parade of Homes.
We are over the moon to be presenting two homes in two very unique communities this year: The Daphne in Élan at Cordera, and The Silverton in Cumbre Vista. These homes are a wonderful representation of the breadth of our current offerings - from low maintenance Mid-Century Modern to family-oriented Modern Farmhouse. We can't wait to show you what we've been working on!
THE DAPHNE IN ÉLAN
We set out to create a cohesive community that integrates architecture and landscape unlike any other in Colorado Springs. Élan and the Daphne deliver. The all-new lineup of homes will be bright and open, with an emphasis on indoor-outdoor living. Directly inspired by the mid-century modern themes prevalent throughout the western United States from the late 1940s to through the mid 1960s, the Daphne offers distinctive, unified style throughout. The integration of landscape, site planning and architecture to promote overall neighborhood aesthetic, ensures lasting appeal and value. Pockets of natural scrub oak dot the neighborhood, miles of trails connect the entire community, and many homes back to open space. The unique natural surroundings encouraged an emphasis on a variety of textures and colors while eliminating excessive decorative elements. A refined use of stucco, wood and stone with an expression of structural features at porches, patios and gable ends results in a unified collection of mid-century modern inspired homes. Inside, the Daphne offers maximum flexibility in lifestyle and use. The gourmet kitchen, main-level living and ample master suite are thoughtfully designed for entertaining and relaxing alike.
Our goal was to create a balance between urban living and a casual upscale feel while respecting the integrity of the modern architecture. Stepping through the front door you are drawn to continue into the main living space with volume, transom windows, and fun, bold color, in furnishings, art, and accessories. Our color pallet is reminiscent of the mid-century era combining teal, coral, white, yellow and charcoal. Textures found in the home are soldier stacked white painted brick, horizontal shiplap, fumed exotic wood and a variety of accent tiles. Contemporary light fixtures are sprinkled throughout the house adding to the modern décor. The lower level is where friends and family spend time together watching television, playing games or relaxing in the exercise room with a little yoga.
THE SILVERTON IN CUMBRE VISTA
The Silverton’s main level features a spacious living room, with the kitchen and dining room in an adjoining space. There is a guest powder bath and a mud room connecting through to the garage. The cook’s kitchen creates a comfortable work space with ample side countertop surfaces and a large center island. The walk-in pantry is a popular feature in this home. The upper level has three spacious secondary bedrooms, two bedrooms and a loft space as shown in this home. The entrance to the master bedroom creates a private sitting area which leads to an oversized suite. The master bath with a walk-in shower, dual vanities, and spacious walk-in closet completes this space. The laundry is conveniently located on the upper level. The lower level is finished with a recreation and media area, a guest bedroom and bathroom and ample storage.
Form and function seamlessly align in this family-friendly home. A neutral foundation, mixed with pops of on-trend colors and patterns, feels bright and welcoming. Hints of herringbone, shiplap, brass, and contemporary furniture profiles keep things fresh yet familiar. Two standout spaces, the open-layout family room and kids’ loft, are equally suited for work and play. Oversized windows bathe the home in Colorado sunshine. The Silverton offers bold combinations in style.
