Our Favorite Places to Play

We love our work.  But let's be honest: we really love our weekends.  As a result, when we went looking for the best advice regarding "what to do" and "where to go" in Colorado Springs, we turned to our very own team.  Here's what they had to say about their favorite ways to play hard (after they work hard, of course).

“The Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society’s Jazz In the Parks summer concert series has been a fixture of my family’s season for over two decades now. It’s a multi-generational good time, and the large numbers of former Air Force Academy Band members who perform at JITP give the Springs a surprisingly vibrant jazz scene.  It’s a great way to get the whole family together for a picnic dinner and some great music. Oh, and did I mention that it’s free?”  - Charles, Purchasing Manager

"The farmer’s markets around town are not to be missed!"  - Teil, Online Coordinator

"I love breweries and Iron Bird Brewery downtown has my favorite beer and atmosphere…they serve pretty darn good pizzas too.  But, Wyatt’s Pub and Grill off Rockrimmon Boulevard is one of my favorite bar and grills.  Their food is good and the atmosphere is more of a neighborly feel." - Hailey, Operations Administrator

"My favorite is Painting with a Twist located off of Garden of the Gods." - Hailey, Operations Administrator

"Check out the Fine Arts Center in Colorado Springs.  Kids are free with student ID!  The gallery features permanent and traveling exhibits for all ages. Excellent year-round theater and classes, too. The Art Deco building is a masterpiece itself!" - Rachel, Community Sales Manager

"I absolutely LOVE the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.  It is one of the best in the nation!  They even have themed nights around the holidays that include “Boo @ the Zoo” (Halloween) and “Electric Safari” (Christmas).  One annual event is the Great Inflatable Race, where families of all ages can run through a 5K course that is full of different inflatable obstacles."  - Hailey, Operations Administrator
