The City’s Best Dog-Friendly Spots

Are there luckier dogs than those that live in Colorado Springs? With miles of trails, expansive dog parks, pup-friendly restaurant patios and more, our city offers many fun and unique ways to include Fido. Here’s a list of our favorite places that allow you to bring your furry friend along.

Bear Creek Dog Park

This fan-fave offers 25 acres of off-leash fun, including 2 dedicated acres for dogs under 20 pounds. There is a creek, walking trails, water for thirsty pups and waste stations. You’ll come away with lots of new furry friends and a tired pup!

The Broadmoor’s Seven Falls

We’ve boasted our love for Seven Falls before, but didn’t even touch on how special their hiking and trail system is. In this 1,400 foot box canyon, you and your pup can enjoy uniquely beautiful Colorado scenery and get some exercise, too. (Speaking of The Broadmoor, it’s worth noting that the hotel is dog-friendly for guests, too!)

This self-described community center offers 1,300 square feet of dog-friendly patio where you can grab a bite and cocktail, as well as a 3,000 square foot, fully-fenced dog run. Inclement weather? Fido is even allowed inside the restaurant!

Stratton Open Space

One of Colorado Springs’ most loved areas, Stratton Open Space offers trails, hiking and two reservoirs in which Fido can dip his toes! Dogs must be on a leash, but you’ll find the experience to be quite dog-friendly and well-maintained.

These are a few of our favorites, but it’s just the beginning. Places like Garden of the Gods Trading Post and Pikes Peak, as well as countless restaurants and shops are all dog-friendly in Colorado Springs! Click the link above for a long list of fun places to play with your pup.
